About Us

The Arc of Delaware County is a non-profit organization that advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) since its incorporation in 1956.

Historically, The Arc of Delaware County has played a vital leadership role in securing civil rights and community inclusion for all persons with intellectual and related disabilities, including the right to education, workplace accommodation and community living.

Today, the Arc is the premier advocacy organization for children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families.  The Arc of Delaware County is a chapter of The Arc of Pennsylvania and an affiliate of The Arc of the United States.
